Headlights: buying tips & FAQs

  • Match the vehicle, year range and any facelift or series details in the title – headlights change shape between models.
  • Check whether your car has electric (motorised) headlight levelling; listings say “Electric” where the lamp has a levelling motor.
  • Many replacements fit your existing globes – check the globe type before ordering new ones.
  • Have the beam aim checked after fitting; headlights must be correctly aimed to pass a WoF.

Headlights FAQs

How do I know a body part fits my vehicle?

Each listing names the make, model, years and body style it is made to suit, and the side. Add your vehicle (rego or make, model and year) when you order and we check the part before dispatch – if it won't suit, we email you before anything is sent.

Which side is left-hand?

Left-hand means the NZ passenger side and right-hand the NZ driver side, as listed in each title. Parts marked “fits left or right” suit either side, and pairs include both.

Do headlights come with globes?

Check the listing. If globes aren't mentioned, plan to move your existing globes across or buy new ones.

Should I replace both headlights?

Not always, but an old lens can look yellowed next to a new one and light output may differ. Many owners replace them as a pair.
